Dear Ministry Partners,
After logging nearly 26,000 miles in the air and more than 7,000 miles on the road in 3 months, our visit to the States has come to an end. We are so grateful to the Lord for mercy in travel, and the opportunities to reconnect with so many of our friends and family. We have mixed emotions - torn between returning home to Cambodia and leaving loved ones behind once again. Thanks to so many of you for your hospitality and generosity. The love you shared with us was awesome! Thanks again for allowing us to 'drop in' on you.
REFOCUS
We arrived in Phnom Penh to familiar sights and sounds ... and familiar faces! More than 20 people came to the airport to welcome us home, including our 4 foster children! It was so great to see them again and catch up with friends and coworkers. Now, we set our sights on the ministry to which God has called us and roll up our sleeves for the work ahead. We returned to find that for the most part, the believers are still living for God and growing in faith. We rejoice in God's faithfulness! Please pray that God would give us the battle plan for the next phase. We need His direction for our focus in the months ahead.
RESTART
The Lord is leading us to establish two new house-churches in Phnom Penh. One will be targeting a few missionary families (like ours) and English-speaking Khmers, and the other focusing on Khmer families in the city. Our hope is that as these bodies of believers are built, they will reach out to the unsaved around them with the love of Jesus and in turn birth new housechurches. Pray that God will grant us favor and open doors!
RESHUFFLE
Once again our family is in transition! Joshua will be going to college in Florida - a huge step for him - and Loralie will be returning to work in Phnom Penh. They both need prayer as they take these next steps in life.
