Pre-1975 HQ of the infamous Khmer Rouge, led by the butcher Pol Pot (original buildings have long since been destroyed). This site is located in the Ta Veng District of Ratanakiri Province where the gospel now has a strong foothold. This is the exact location where an unholy alliance between deposed Prince Norodom Sihanouk and the Khmer Rouge was forged in 1970, leading to the revolution's acceptance by the populace and later, to their full control over the country. |
